The story of Zazen begins with family. Khun Thitima Fataweporn inherited this beautiful land from her father, who entrusted her with preserving its natural beauty and allowing it to flourish. Inspired by a deep love for design and hospitality, Khun Ti began shaping a vision that would eventually become Zazen Boutique Resort & Spa.
Over the years, the resort grew alongside her dream, evolving into a refined sanctuary where Thai elegance blends seamlessly with contemporary comfort. Every garden path, architectural detail, and quiet corner reflects Khun Ti’s devotion to creating a place that feels both intimate and timeless.
What began as a dream slowly grew into one of Koh Samui’s most beloved boutique resorts, a place where guests return year after year to experience its unique spirit.

More than two decades ago, destiny quietly brought Alexander Andries, an international tourism professional, to Koh Samui. When Alex met Khun Ti, they quickly discovered a shared passion for travel, hospitality, and creating beautiful experiences. Their partnership became the foundation for the continued evolution of Zazen.
Combining Khun Ti’s creative vision with Alex’s global experience in the tourism industry, they nurtured the resort together, carefully guiding its growth while preserving the intimate charm that defines it today.
Their collaboration, both in life and in business, has guided the resort through years of evolution, always with the same philosophy at heart, to create a place where guests feel welcomed not as visitors, but as part of the Zazen story.
