Attractions and Things to do around Koh Samui
Heading out on the island ring road to see Samui for yourself? There’s plenty of adventure, sights and attractions along the way. Here is a glimpse of some of the things to see and do on Koh Samui, Thailand, attractions, nature and Thai culture.

Buffalo Fighting
One of Samui’s most popular spectator sports and part of Thailand tradition: Two bulls locking horns in the ring. The fight ends when one animal runs away, usually before either animal gets seriously hurt. An exciting spectacle and one that gives you true glimpse into the kingdom and its people.
Butterfly Garden
Na Tian Butterfly Garden brings together hundreds of spectacular butterflies, plus an insect museum, featuring rare insects from Thailand and other countries, and a bee house, which allows the visitor to observe the activities of bees close up. A must see for nature lovers and a popular Samui attraction.
Crocodile Farm
Siam crocodiles, Caimans, Saltwater crocodiles, snakes, lizards, monkeys and many other wild and wonderful creatures living just behind the airport what a welcome! The show is twice a day: 14:00 and 16:30. Great family excursion.
Monkey Show
The island’s monkeys are more than happy to show off their skill, climbing up into the trees, shaking down the coconuts, and demonstrating how the island got by before the tourists arrived. Now that we’re her, though, line up to have your photo taken with a new monkey friend. Several locations around the island.
Samui Aquarium & Zoo
Samui Aquarium in Hua Thanon is home to coral fish, huge catfish and several sharks including Leopard and Black Tips. The adjacent zoo, houses south-eastern Asian tigers, parrots, horn-bills, sea hawks, eagles and celebrity otters who will perform for you, if you clap loud enough.
Get up close and personal with the wonderful animals of Thailand. Oh, and be sure to have your photo taken with a tiger. Yes, we’re serious.
Snake Farm
Located in Talingnam, south of Nathon, deadly snakes lunge at their trainers with breathtaking proximity, scorpions are unveiled, and then it really get wild. An exciting and memorable attraction for the family. Shows start at 11 am and 2 pm.
Elephant Trekking in Samui
Discovered the beauty of the island, the mountains, and the tropical rainforest on elephant back.
